More autonomy, step by step.

I want more freedom and autonomy from what I build. I have projects underway, a lot left to learn and a real wish to share the process while it's happening.
01 / The challenge
This isn't about promising a result or turning money into a show. It's about putting steady time into my own projects, learning to talk about them and finding out what can work.
I'm building alternatives so my future depends less on a single source of income. The personal goal: get closer to a freer life before I turn 40.
Finding clients, testing ideas, blocking time to create and publish, getting stuck, adjusting course and sharing whatever I figure out along the way.
What I do with my hour of work.
“Today I spent my hour trying to land my first clients.”
Why I pick one strategy and drop another.
“I think I've been making a mistake with my projects.”
What I figure out while trying to move forward.
“Today I realized that having an idea doesn't mean having a business.”
What I'm trying to change, and why.
“I don't want to work more hours just to earn more money.”
02 / In progress
Not a catalog. They're part of the journey: what problem I care about, what I've built and what I need to figure out next.
I'm exploring how to help service businesses get manual work off their plate. Now it's time to talk to companies and find out what actually works for them.
A product for keeping track of documents and expiration alerts. I'm trying to understand who needs it most and how to reach them.
03 / Personal journal
A place to keep a record, day by day, of what I did, what I noticed and what comes next.
Short, dated entries: a conversation, a test, a decision, or simply having set aside an hour to move forward. No forcing a lesson out of every day.

An access control system replaces paper logs at your front desk with an auditable check-in for visitors, vendors, and large groups.
If two or more of these signs sound familiar, your business is losing time and customers by still running everything by hand. Here's what to watch for.
No robots, no replacing your team. A no-jargon explanation of what AI actually does for a small business — and what it doesn't.
Automating customer follow-up doesn't mean sounding like a robot. Here's the difference between a generic bot and a system that follows up your way.
04 / About me
I'm Julio. I build software for a living, and for a while now I've wanted to build something of my own that gives me more say in how I live and work.
I already have projects underway, but building them is only part of it. I also have to learn to explain them, find who they're useful for and accept that some things won't work out the way I expected.
This site is where I bring that journey together. I'm not writing from the finish line: I'm sharing it while I'm still trying.
Shall we keep going?
Rather write to me directly? Leave a few lines and I'll reply myself.
