The Problem

Small service businesses run on WhatsApp — it’s where customers already reach out. But nobody’s watching it around the clock. A message that lands at night waits until morning, and by then the customer already went with someone else. The schedule usually lives in someone’s head or a notebook, so two jobs end up booked for the same slot. Customers from a few months back go quiet, and nobody notices until they’re gone for good.

What I Built

SherpaRocket sits on top of the WhatsApp and Instagram accounts a business already uses — no new app for customers to learn, no number to switch. It answers when the team can’t, keeps the calendar conflict-free across every channel a booking can come in from, and flags customers who are going cold before they’re lost completely.

The automation layer runs on n8n workflows that connect incoming WhatsApp and Instagram messages to Google Calendar for scheduling and to the business’s CRM for lead tracking — so a conversation that starts on WhatsApp ends up as a booked slot and a tracked contact, without anyone copying information between three different tools by hand.

Why WhatsApp and Instagram First

Most small service businesses already run their customer relationships through WhatsApp and Instagram DMs — that’s where the trust already exists, and asking a customer to install a separate booking app is friction that loses bookings before they start. Building the automation on top of the channels a business already uses, instead of replacing them, means adoption doesn’t require retraining customers or staff.
